About

I am a husband.
I am a father.
I am a Christ-follower.
I am a pastor to nearly 1,000 kids and their parents.

I love to read.  I love to write.  I am passionate about good communication, musical theatre, and conservative politics.

My favorite films include Pinocchio, Schindler’s List, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, A Bug’s Life, His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, Charade, Braveheart, A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman, and Titanic.

My favorite current television shows include Parks & Recreation, Modern Family, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, and Mad Men.

I love all things Disney and Disneyland and am a particular fan of Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket.  I recognize my constant need for my “conscience to be my guide,” although I personally believe the Holy Spirit does that guiding in my life, and I believe that when you wish upon a star your dreams come true.

Verses I consistently return to include Psalm 121 and Psalm 63.  My favorite book of the Bible is the book of Romans.

I am constantly amazed by the grace and wonder of Jesus Christ.

Is there any way you would grant permission to share your post about The Lion King as long as you are given the credit for it, along with direction to your blog site? I love what you have written and have children who need to read it. Thank you.

  2. Please Email me! I have a question

    Thanks so much

  3. I saw that you mentioned your grandfather on one of your posts…Gladstone Woodhouse…was he ever a pastor/preacher in Dayton, Ohio? My grandmother was talking about when she got saved, and mentioned the name Gladstone Woodhouse. I knew there couldn’t be too many people with that name and Googled it and found you. She was saved under his ministry.

    • Yes! My grandfather and grandmother served in a church in Dayton! My grandmother’s whole family is from the area. I would love to know more–my grandfather was one of the most influential people in my life, and I love hearing that his legacy is so strong!

      Thank you for contacting me!

      • I will ask her if my Grandmother is she knows anything else. She said he was an evangelist, and preaching in a store front off of Fifth street on the East Side of Dayton. She said he could really bring the fire.
